The Visitation Ministry of Community Church
The purpose of our Visitation Ministry at Community Church Waterford is to offer distinctively Christian caregiving to those who are a part of Christ’s body, but are homebound to the point of not being able to worship regularly with us, nor participate in other ministries of the church as they used to. In the name of Christ, and—even more—with a compassion that comes from Christ, we will reach out to this demographic on a regular basis, bringing the Body of Christ to them. We will visit with them in their homes—wherever that may be. We will share with them information—both printed and verbally—about the life of Community Church Waterford. And we will bring them Holy Communion on a regular basis so that they too can know they are still a vital part of the Body of Christ called the Community Church.
Do you have a heart for caring for others? One of the most meaningful ways we can live out our faith is by visiting and encouraging those who may be homebound, in the hospital, or simply in need of connection. We are reimagining our Visitation Ministry to help ensure that members of our church family feel remembered, supported, and loved. You may already be doing this without even realizing it—We still would love for you to be part of this ministry group. If you feel called to listen, pray, and offer a compassionate presence, we invite you to become part of this important ministry.
